The Center of Excellence Model: Governing n8n for the Enterprise
AI automation inside an organization is rarely the work of one team for long. n8n usage grows, use cases multiply across departments, and without a shared structure to support that growth, the result is duplicated effort, inconsistent standards, and no clear way to trace results back to the workflow that produced them.
A Center of Excellence is what keeps that from happening, or fixes it once it already has. This talk walks through what that model looks like in practice: how use cases get proposed and prioritized, how security and infrastructure scale with adoption instead of being bolted on afterward, and how teams get trained and held to a consistent standard as more people start building.
We'll draw on real engagements at different stages of this work, including a top U.S. telecom provider aligning several teams on a shared standard for automating hardware testing, and a major tax compliance provider where we helped formalize a Center of Excellence, complete with a dedicated alignment role and org-wide training so any team member can build workflows themselves.
