Turning the Enterprise Into an Agent Factory
Every enterprise has thousands of people who understand how work actually gets done, yet most rely on a small central team to translate that knowledge into AI agents. That model doesn't scale.
At Albertsons, we took a different approach: treating an agent not as a complex AI application, but as a workflow with judgment, a trigger, context, decisions, actions, exceptions, and human approvals. Using n8n as the visual orchestration layer, we made this structure accessible to domain experts without requiring them to understand models, APIs, prompts, or orchestration.
But democratizing creation is only half the challenge, the other half is trust. This session shows how distributed agent building can coexist with centralized guardrails, permissions, and observability, and where AI judgment, deterministic execution, and human control each belong.
Attendees will see a sanitized n8n workflow pattern and leave with a practical blueprint for turning enterprise knowledge into governed agents.
Takeaway
- Learn how to translate business expertise into agents without deep AI knowledge
- Understand how to combine AI judgment, deterministic execution, and human oversight in one workflow
- Discover how to democratize agent creation while centralizing security, governance, and trust
- See how n8n can become a shared language between domain experts, engineers, and enterprise systems
- Take away a practical workflow pattern you can adapt within your own organization
